He also went 1-for-2 with a walk at the plate.<\/p>\n<p>The Timberwolves (16-6) became the first team to score a run in five games against the top-seeded Falcons (17-9) when Ashton Bergman&rsquo;s single scored Warren Grisim.<\/p>\n<p>Trailing 2-1 after six frames, Derek Sundtrom pushed the game into the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single to tie the score at 2-2.<\/p>\n<p>The Timberwolves will face No. 4 Lake Stevens 4 p.m Thursday at Everett Memorial Stadium in a loser-out contest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 12 Skyline 5, No. 4 Lake Stevens 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BELLEVUE &mdash; The Spartans (10-13) upset Lake Stevens (12-6) to claim a state berth. Escandon finished 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base, an RBI and a run.<\/p>\n<p>Finn Crawford hurled a complete-game four-hitter, walking one and striking out four in front of an errorless defense. Trevelyan Podawiltz contributed to the offense, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.<\/p>\n<p>For Stanwood (17-4), Steven Doersam pitched 4 1\/3 strong innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out five. Graham Schwender drove in Stanwood&rsquo;s run with a third-inning triple, and Cullen Maloney went 2-for-2.<\/p>\n<p>E-W will face No. 2 Snohomish in a semifinal, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Everett Memorial Stadium.
