EVERETT — Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin will deliver her annual State of the City address on March 5, the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce announced <\/a>Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Franklin’s keynote address, her ninth to be delivered while in office and the first since she won reelection<\/a> to a third term in November, will be “a clear look at priorities that matter to business, from public safety and housing to infrastructure, workforce, and economic growth,” a description from the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce read. The theme of the event is “Everett Takes The Field,” and a photo<\/a> on the Chamber’s website depicts Franklin standing in a sports stadium<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The event, hosted by the Chamber, will take place at 4 p.m. on March 5 at the Historic Everett Theatre, located at 2911 Colby Ave. in Everett. MyEverettNews first reported<\/a> the date of the speech.<\/p>\n

Tickets to the event are $35 for members of the Chamber of Commerce and $55 for non-members. A recording of the address and a written copy of the speech will be available on the city website the following day.<\/p>\n

Everett spokesperson Simone Tarver said the city does not make any money from the event — ticket sales are managed by the Everett Chamber and cover the costs of putting on the event.<\/p>\n

Everett will host a free State of the City event on March 7 in the Olympic View Banquet Room at Walter E. Hall Park, located at 1226 W Casino Rd. in Everett, Tarver confirmed Wednesday.<\/p>\n
