EVERETT — While the West Coast isn’t going to experience temperatures in the negative double-digits like our Midwestern friends, it’s a good idea to bundle up this weekend in Snohomish County.<\/p>\n
The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for Friday night, with a forecasted low of 29 degrees and similar forecasts for Saturday and Sunday nights.<\/p>\n
“We’ll have low temperatures into the mid-20s, both of those nights in the Everett area, obviously warmer closer to the water, but the farther you go, the cooler it’ll be,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Logan Howard.<\/p>\n
Sunny daytime highs are expected around the mid-40s, with temperatures slowly rising as next week rolls around. <\/p>\n
“Our next chance for precipitation isn’t really going to be until potentially Tuesday into Wednesday,” Howard said.<\/p>\n
The streak of atypically dry weather is currently at 11 days.<\/p>\n
This streak is the ninth time the Seattle area has had a 10-day or more dry streak in January since records started at Seattle-Tacoma airport in 1945, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n
The last time Seattle had a 10-plus-day dry streak was in January 2025 when the streak hit 13 days from January 17-29. Before last year, the last time was January 11-22 of 2013.<\/p>\n
